Will’s review of: Flying fergus the cycle search and rescue
Author: Chris hoy
Genre: Fiction

This book is number 6 in the Flying Fergus series. So it’s all about qualifying and the training to ride at the Manchester velodrome.
They go training in the highlands and stay at Mary’s who is a journalist who worked with Jambo, who is Fergus’ step dad in this book.
I like this book because adore bikes and cycling.  I feel like I’m in the book because Chris Hoy writes it and he knows a lot about bikes and cycling because he’s got six gold Olympic medals.
I am looking forward to book 7 The wreck it race.

Magda’s review of: Five go Adventuring Again
Author: Enid Blyton
Genre: Fiction

In Five Go Adventuring Again, following book one they get embroiled in another adventure. Anne, Dick and Julian find Mr Ronald (their tutor for the Christmas holidays) very nice but George (their cousin) and Tim (the dog) disliked him. When papers go missing an old, forgotten Secret Way is used to capture the surprising culprits.
I really like how Tim understands his mistress and has the same feelings as her in this exciting adventure story.

Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets

Magda’s review of: Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets
Author: J.K Rowling
Genre: Fiction

In this book the Chamber of Secrets is opened! Can Harry stop the heir of Slytherin keeping it open? I like the things they do to find out what is in the chamber of secrets. Is there a monster? Could it be Voldemort? Read all about Harry ‘s friends, Hogwarts, find a new favourite character like Professor Lockhart who I found very interesting.
Lots of daring things get Harry and Ron to be heroes like drinking a potion so they can get a few things out of Draco Malfoy.

The Butterfly Lion

Anna’s review of: The Butterfly Lion
Author: MICHAEL MORPURGO
Genre: Fiction

There aren’t many charecters in this book but there are lots of emotions. I like the part were Bertie ( the little boy) gets married and finds a white Lion. Another good part is when they draw a picture of the white Lion when he dies. My favourite characters are Bertie and Millie (Bertie’s friend.) My favourite part is when Bertie finds an orphaned Lion.  think everyone should read this book from Y3 and up.

Stig of the Dump

Magda’s review of: Stig of the Dump
Author: Clive King
Genre: Fiction

I love this book because it’s exciting and fun. The book is about a boy called Barney who is at his grandma ‘s house and goes to a chalk pit. Soon he falls into the pit and finds a boy called Stig who seems to be from the stone age. The adventures start for Barney and Stig. I think the adventures they go on are lots of fun. It would be a great book to read as a class because it’s got cool things about the Stone Age in it. I hope others will like it as much as I have! It makes you think of other adventures they could go on.

The Suitcase Kid

Anna’s review of: The Suitcase Kid
Author: Jacaqueline Wilson
Genre: Fiction

I haven’t read many Jacaqueline Wilson books but this is a excellent one. I think this is one of the best. There’s a lot of drama in this book and emotions. There are funny bits of all of the characters. I like the end bit because it reminds me of when my baby brother was born. I really like all the characters especially Andrea, Carrie, Bill, Mum and Dad I also love when this nice lady asks who Radish (the toy rabbit.) was. Her best friend is Graham. It must have been hard to move around all over the place. I think everyone should read this book from Y3 and up.
